folder for rendering

Mon Apr 11, 2022 6:09 pm
Where can you set in Kdenlive to always use the same folder when rendering for "Render Project"? It just does not work for me. As soon as I want to render a new or heavily modified project, Kdenlive keeps suggesting a different folder. Even if I have selected the desired folder in "Default folders" for Capute folder or Library folder.
My system is Linux and I use the normally installed Kdenlive.

Postscript: I think I have found the right place: Project Default > Custom project folder > ....

The folder IS selectable in Settings but I wish there was an option to just have a separate 'render' folder to put final output videos in but without all the project settings. It would save having to type in the destination each time in the render window. On my Ubuntu system I have "$HOME/Videos/kdenlive" and would like the videos to go there each time without any project files. It is relatively easy to type this in and alter the preset "$HOME/kdenlive" but surely this could be set up in initial configuration.
