Hi There!
I wanted to Export a video on Kdenlive with HD 1080p 30 FPS. However, when the video has finished rendering, it results in a grainy composition where gradients didn't render well. I tried changing the default settings and enabling "Proxy Clips," but nothing helped. Does anyone have the solution to the problem? Thanks! Here's a screenshot between the grainy video and original. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uQLbRg ... sp=sharing |

What OS and version of kdenlive are you using? Any effects on the clip(s)? What are the quality settings for the render? Which render profile did you select?
Proxy Clips are only good for editing and faster preview and should not be used for rendering as they are scaled down versions of the originals.

This seems a good one. That's the one i always use, without problems. and which works on most gear and internet. Although 60fps is rather high. Mostly 30fps is enough, and mostly standard for video (cams and such). So it could be that your rendering 30fps vids to 60fps which can give your problem? No experience with kdenlive on win, so there i can't help you. |

Hmmm... I went back to Kdenlive and tinkered with the settings a little bit, and noticed that my quality settings were varied upon the Rate Control dropdown. Some produced low quality video, while some produced the desired quality of my video. I eventually sticked with the CBR (Constant Bitrate) option, since, weirdly enough, produces the highest and crisp quality of video when undergoing some rendering tests. I will try to dig in if there is a bug with the other bitrate options in Kdenlive, other than that, I'll update if there's another problem with the bitrate options. For now, I will stick with CBR. Thanks for the help though, I really appreciate it Also, there are no changes to video quality when rendering from 30fps to 60 fps, so the frame rate wasn't the culprit

Nah. Frame rate doesn't make the quality. It can only ruin it if to low. Your eye is fooled from about 20 fps, so everything above will be 'good quality'. And even then the to low frame rate gives a stuttering view, where the quality of what you see can still be high. In general: Frame rate ≠ quality |
