Hello,
I edit my 4K GoPro videos (H265) with Kdenlive and render them back to H265.
Unfortunately, a player (and this is exactly what I use on the Apple TV) does not play these rendered videos.
The sound is there, but it remains black. The original GoPro videos play in this player.
So there must be a difference in the video format.
In the VLC player on the PC I can call up the codec info and really find a small difference:

Original GoPro H265
Codec: MPEG-H Part2/HEVC (H.265) (hvc1)

Kdenlive H265
Codec: MPEG-H Part2/HEVC (H.265) (hev1)

Is it possible to change these settings in Kdenlive?
There is the parameter
-vtag hvc1
-tag:v hvc1
for ffmpeg, but how do I get this parameter changed in Kdenlive?

I am using Kdenlive 22.04.3 for Windows.

Thanks!

Greetings Lutz

Yes, you just need to create a new rendering preset. There are melt parameters in the "Video" tab of the preset. Add "vtag=hvc1" and resulting videos will have that codec id.
