mlt error and producer_xml error

Tue Nov 15, 2022 10:41 pm
Hi all, my videos won't render. The render hangs indefinitely at nearly 100%, and if aborted it outputs these error messages.
Code: Select all
mlt_repository_init: failed to dlopen /tmp/.mount_kdenlirdvHua/usr/lib/mlt-7/libmltavformat.so (/tmp/.mount_kdenlirdvHua/usr/lib/libxcb-shm.so.0: undefined symbol: xcb_send_request_with_fds)
mlt_repository_init: failed to dlopen /tmp/.mount_kdenlirdvHua/usr/lib/mlt-7/libmltmovit.so (libGLX.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)
[producer_xml] failed to load producer "/path/to/video/file.mp4"

(video filename is edited for privacy)

I checked and this happens with every mp4 export that I tried, even with unrelated clips. I also can't seem to export to an image sequence.
I installed mlt 7 and it's up to date, but I'm not sure if there's something I'm missing.
I have ffmpeg version 2.8.17-0ubuntu0.1 installed.
kdenlive version 22.08.1
OS is Ubuntu 16.04.7 LTS
kernel: 4.15.0-142-generic
Can someone help me try to figure out these render errors? :)

UPDATE: No solution yet, but I did find a workaround. I downloaded kdenlive 20.08 because that's the last version I remember working. Copied and pasted my clips to the timeline in 20.08. I had to delete transparency effects in order to copy and paste across versions, luckily I didn't have a ton of effects on my clips so it didn't hurt the project. Video export worked fine from 20.08.
