Rendering crashes

Mon Jan 23, 2023 1:44 am
My renders keep crashing. Here's a couple examples of the errors I get:

Rendering of C:/Users/Aquinox/Videos/lynx antirush build final.mp4 crashed

[mp3 @ 00000172113cbf80] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [mp3 @ 0000017211594040] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [mp3 @ 00000172113cbf80] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [mp3 @ 0000017211594040] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [mp3 @ 00000172171b9980] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [mp3 @ 00000172171cdc40] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate Current Frame: 26, percentage: 0

Rendering of C:/Users/Aquinox/Videos/lynx antirush build final2.mp4 crashed

Some details about the videos I'm working with and things I've tried:
- Original file was 2560x1440 at 59.96fps (1.31 GB)
- Upon import, Kdenlive asked me to transcode it and it created a 2560x1440 at 60fps clip (18.2 GB) which was the file used in the bin
- Project profile was initially 1080p at 59fps. I tried changing it to 1080p at 60fps, but crashes still occurred.
- I tried installing x264 vfw codec while searching for solutions and restarted pc, but crashes continued.

Is Parallel Processing enabled (Render > More Options)?

Yes, it is. Is that a common culprit for these kinds of errors?

I finally got my recent project to render (1440p @ 60fps) by doing the following:
- Deleted the mp3 clips I added.

Then I took the rendered clip and tried putting it back into kdenlive and adding the mp3's again. It worked.

I don't understand why it worked but yeah I'd like to know how to consistently render without crashes for future projects at least. Sometimes it will run for 30+ min before a crash for larger files.
