Setting up Krita for Pixel Art

Thu Apr 10, 2014 10:26 pm
Thought people might be interested in this. I've made video tutorial on setting up your Krita workspace for pixel art. You can watch it on YouTube here:

This is actually part of a larger planned series on pixel art, and I'll be sticking with Krita throughout, although I'll be focusing more on pixel art techniques than Krita itself. Here's the playlist:

Pixel art isn't even something we really considered as a use-case for Krita, so this is cool to see :-). I haven't forgotten about the review requests, either, I hope to get to them today.

Nice tutorial! I like how you kept it simple.

I'm not much into pixel art, but one thing I liked of krita is that its porssible to make all brush engines to work in aliased mode. Even deform brush! Its loco :]. I made a few brushes for working with pixels like you did on every engine (or almost every).
