brushes for colouring

Thu Jan 29, 2015 2:50 pm
hi,

i'm new both at digital painting and at krita, and i was wondering if someone could give me some tips about some good brushes to colourpaint a line drawing.
here are three paintings that i did in krita, so you get an idea of style i want to do: http://randomkindness73.deviantart.com/
i'm using the hairy brush most of the time, but i think there might be better ones

thank you

All the brushes are good to colour a drawing. Krita is primarily a painting program after all!

However, different brushes give different results. An example is Deevad's brush packs which always contain several brushes for several workflows: http://davidrevoy.com/article238/ressource-krita-brushes-v5(be sure to check previous versions of the brushpack pages as well, they show different brushes with different examples. All of his v3 brushes are included with 2.8 for example.)

You should try a lot of different brushes to figure out which ones you like to use for colouring.
