Hi!
I worked out a nice way to rotoscope using Krita. Not really hard to figure out but I thought I would share it anyway. I describe it all in this tutorial video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7psARLg9o3Q It's not difficult but it can be quite mind-numbing. However I'm always pleased with the results. If you want to se the results you can check out my some of my other videos. Hope it can be to some use/inspiration. |

Cool!
I think some video players, like vlc allow you to export the current frame. A video editor can also often cut up the video and then render that to frames, but maybe this is actually a bit better as you always end up selecting frames with a good silhouette resulting in a better rotoscope. |

If you want an alternative method for rotoscoping, I did make an animation plugin to do something similar. You can load in a video file, say what part you want, then the plugin automatically imports those frames to an animation reference layer.
https://github.com/scottpetrovic/animat ... -reference You will need Krita 4.2 since it uses a few new animation python API calls |
