Hi guys.
I just created an in-depth video tutorial about how to use Colorize Mask in Krita. It is a 2 parts tutorial. Here are the links: Part 1 : https://youtu.be/IYT_rLBniYs Part 2 : https://youtu.be/ZlpQKubWIt0 I'm currently still creating the written version of these videos at kritatutorials.com I'll update thispost once they are finished. Let me know what ou guys think about these videos. Regards, Widhi Muttaqien |

Hi Widhi,
That's another well made and well presented tutorial that will be useful for people. I didn't know you could apply a colourise mask to a group layer and so use non-closed lineart in some layers, which is very useful. So, I learned something from your tutorial - thank you I've come to realise that you can have more than one colourise mask on a layer (or group) so that you can quickly switch between them (by turning them on/off) to easily compare two or more different colour schemes for lineart. I have two technical question about your video: 1. I don't see the progress bar at the bottom of the colourise mask layer when you update the mask. I don't think this is because of the Theme you've chosen and I wonder why? I think this is very useful, especially for beginners who may worry that krita has locked up unless they can see an active progress bar. 2. When you put the info-overlay on your video (it says "Revising colors") there are lots of small graphics icon artefacts, all over the image. Is this some kind of watermarking or some kind of leakage from somewhere? |

Hi again Ahab.
Sorry for the late reply. This forum thing is kind of new to me. I didn't realize that someone replied in my post . 1. I'm not sure about the progress bar. I was using 4.2.0 beta version when recording the video. Perhaps one of the developer in this forum can explain. I did explain to the viewers that we need to wait for Krita to finish the calculation. 2, In which time exactly they appear? If you mean the small object drawings: clock, book, apple etc. Those objects are part of a pattern that I created myself for expose-academy signature. |

Hi Widhi,
No problem about late replies. If you feel the need to, you can go to the User Control Panel - Board Preferences - Edit Posting Defaults and then enable 'Notify me upon replies by default'. 1. Yes, you did explain to the viewers. I was just wondering but someone else may know. 2. Your slightly visible watermark/signature can be seen in the Part 1 video from 7:22 to 7.27 if viewed at full screen size. |
