File Layer - Resizing
Hello friends,
The file layer - can't it really be resized, transformed with the Transformation tool (CTRL + T)? :(

Yes the transform tool can't be used on a file layer directly, because you can't use a "destructive" tool on an immutable layer.
But you can add a transform mask and use the transform tool to adjust that mask.

OK thank you.
The reason for wanting to "transform" the File Layer, is because inserting it is so much simpler.
then decide to do it like this:
file> open
so I select everything and paste it on a Design Layer.

Hm how did you add the File Layers?

Easiest to me is drag&drop from a file manager into Krita, that gives you all the options, (Paint) Layer, File Layer, New Document, Reference Image.
The other direct way to add a file as Paint Layer is via "Layer"->"Import/Export"->"Import Layer..."
But yes the latter could be a bit less deeply nested in the menus IMO...
