Got tipped onto Krita by a lovely friend so decided to break out the tablet again.
This picture has no meaning, though. Just testing out krita. I learned to paint using mypaint and gimp, and had never tried krita. It's very different, and yet at the same time a strangely-familiar blend of both. I admit I very much missed the crispness of the default mypaint brushes and then the accuracy of gimp's brush sizing. Wolthera kindly told me about shift+drag which might solve some of my woes about random size jumping in krita too. I will have to explore customising brushes, or maybe steal someone else's... |

Love the krita assistants. Vanishing point, ellipse and straight line rulers - wow! |

I am new to Krita too. Admin at Krita community on Google+ invited me here.
I never used any other drawing software before, so for me Krita brushes are amazing. Possibilities are endless, best thing is to install one or two most popular brush packs and explore how they work. I like modern art history classic painters and printmakers, I'm not really into contemporary illustration and comics. Still very much for me to figure out here on Krita forums, how to post an image etc. You are skilled illustrator, are you doing any professional work? |
