For the first moment I've played with Krita (at the moment I did not had a digit table) I remember thinking " woooww 50 axis?! this symmetry tool is so so so funny! " hehehe, at the moment I've lost a considerable time doing blob things with mouse in it, it was adictive... But I wanted to start something doodle like with it.
So far is being a good Krita 2.9.4 testing time too.
That is actually pretty solid! The consistency is what makes it believable. It doesn't even have to be displayed 100%, this part of the image is first percieved as a whole, and it takes a few moments to realize that there is mathematical symmetry.
In fact I started it more as an unguided, testing work but I became really interested in what it could become. So I started to give attention to points I wasn't satisfied. I did some deep changes on it, I stipulated some conceptual focus.
* A more 3-Dimensional, solid ambient (avoidance of strong abstraction, bi-dimensional forms, more real objects and structures) * More coherent style (avoidance of modern elements (maybe not across all work, but orderly) * More exploration of some known styles (art nouveau , art deco, etc) visual elements. * More exploration of visual paradoxes.
Now it is following the direction I want. I still did not dedicate much time to it as I'm middle of semester end , but I pretend to finish it.
