Animation Test

Sun Jul 01, 2018 5:54 pm
This is a short animation test I've made in Krita in order to test out some animation tools.

Krita is awesome!!!
Oh, boy... I LOVE this software!
I'm using the Animation layout and it looks so good! Everything is so user friendly. Coloring the keys on a timeline was a perfect touch. Not to mention the whole layer system which is the coolest thing in the world. Moving keys around and copying them is the easiest I've ever experienced.

I used to make some animations in Autodesk Sketchbook, but I didn't like the layer system in it. I mean... Three layers were simply not enough, and the timeline was very confusing.

The ony thing that bugged me out in Krita was an Eraser tool/Eraser mode (untill I found out about Return to Previous Preset).
I would be so happy if there could be a chance to get different settings for each brush/eraser tool separately, so I can switch between those but keep the different opacity and size.
Right now, if I have 50% Opacity on a brush, swithching it to Eraser mode, it means the eraser will have 50% opacity and so on... which really makes the whole process more difficult.

Wow, I wasn't expecting anything good. Really shows the potential of using Krita for animation. I'm considering using it myself and its very nice to see examples at this level.
