Hi all,
This is my first work on Krita (and my first try on digital painting in fact). Just a study of the photography I put at the bottom right (I found it without credit for the photograph and the model so if someone know...). I'm really beginner at digital painting and drawing so feel free to comment on the thousand mistakes I probably made I tried to study form and values as you can guess ! It was hard, slow (about 4-5 hours) and the result isn't really sactisfaying but well, I had to beguin somewhere hoping the next one will be better and I learned a lot ^^ I used only a hard round brush and a soft round one playing with the flow cursor and a couple of options (and another funky one for the background). Using brush is a lot more difficult than I though so I though using simple tools first is better. |

Well, I'm a beginner as well. I'm really impressed by your sketch, but I notice one thing I'm guilty of as well: smoothing that's a bit excessive.

Once you saiy it, it seems obvious yes ^^ Thanks.
I tried first with a splatter brush, and it was looking a lot better but it was so much difficult to apply the good values than I took a soft round. But saying that I remember that I forget to use the "flow" cursor with the splatter brush... And probably I wanted to do something photo-realistic (and of course I can't) and so the result is a bit **** between two styles. Thanks again, I will pay attention to that for the next study. |

Her chin is sharper and her neck starts further back. Other than that, an impressive first attempt. It looks great!
