This is my second piece done with Krita - my second overall painting (not just sketches) without outlines and the first painting I ever learned soooo much!
I made the grayscale composition with MyPaint and switched to Krita for the coloring, refining and final touches. (Because the unstable windows installer wasn't so stable in the first version, but with the second version it worked out very well!) I see a lot of mistakes, but I decided to finished it, because I need to practice a lot to get rid of these! You can see a bigger version at deviantArt |

Wow. It's beautiful!
Your use of soft, more blurred forms for the background and color palette really give it a whimsical, magic feel. Parts of it even come out with a water color feeling. I love the square trees as well. It would be nice to see a little more variation in the facial expressions, but overall, especially for a first piece, this is a great piece. Congratulations! |

Thank you! I always had trouble with colors because I thought there isn't enough variation in my pictures, so it's good to hear that it worked this time.
And yep, the faces are all very similar, but I think that is a lack of training, I know I can draw other expressions - if it comes to Manga. Semi-realistic faces are still a little problematic. |

Good job on the ambiant color direction , and the design ( trees / clothes ). Keeps good idea and original design in your next piece.

Thank you very very much!
I'll try to keep and refine it ^^ - but to be honest, the character design isn't from me, it was an art trade with a friend, she drew my characters. The costume sketches were done in MyPaint, but I hope their costumes are original as well |
