On Animation Forum Network ([url]http://www.animationforum.net/)/url], there are monthly character design challenges. No description is given, just a name. The current one is "The Night Watcher", so here's what I did. I started in Alchemy, randomly drawing shapes, then got something I liked and moved into MyPaint. I quickly hit limitations in that software and since I was happy with how Krita now works in Ubuntu Studio 11.10, moved into Krita and finished it up. A good exercise to get more familiar with Krita!
