This is my first presentable attempt with Krita 2.4 on Mint KDE 13

I used Gimp and mypaint before and couldn't stick entirely with Krita for this painting (to add text for example)
My first impression is that Krita is a bit more power demanding that Gimp or mypaint, and I'm still a bit overwhelmed by all the new options everywhere
I don't understand how to keep the palette from one session to the other, how the tags are working for the brushes
Finishing a Free selection also is a pain.

It's difficult to switch from what I know to something completely new "alien" environment like Krita
But the power of the brushes ... is so exciting

I wish there was a way to import mypaint brushkit into Krita, that would help a lot.

Hi! You're right. we definitely have to work on the selection tools. There are some other rough edges we want to take care of first -- the weird canvas jumping when zooming is the most important one, but the textured brush needs to be finished as well.
