I draw backgrounds and storyboards for 2D and 3D animation commercial and educational short films. I dislike Photoshop and I seek more friendly 2D package for a few years. I hope I found it. I work in Krita since april 2012.

I'm kinda on the same path as you - trying to migrate away from Photoshop/Illustrator/Indesign into a Gimp/Krita/Mypaint/Scribus enviroment. Its scary isn't it? I thought I should start writing down my experiences with it - like a how-to (or how-not-to) list or tips and tricks - and if we all do that (all of us who are new to it or migrated from an Adobe enviroment) that would be awesome.
