Future thoughts

Thank you all for creating this wonderful program. If there is something I want to paint there is a tool and a brush for it.

Thank you for the compliments! And for sharing your wonderful image with us! I really love it -- it would make, among other things, a great wallpaper!

I'll do some more detailing on the painting and then it might be scaled to a wallpaper. B.t.w. I downloaded the latest git-version for a testdrive today and I was totally blown away. I compiled the Vc by Matthias Kretz and OpenColorIO libraries. Krita says 2.7 pre alpha but I'm going to use this version for production anyway. If Krita hasn't got faster then someone must have upgraded my computer. Totally amazing.

Yes, lots of performance improvements in git master. In general, it's pretty safe to use git master. If ever you run into trouble using master, don't hesitate to let us know!

Thank you, Kargall. It was one of these moments when everything works and I had a real smooth workflow.

Boudewijn:
I noticed a bug when I create a new layer from an imagefile. I use it often when I apply textures and no brush can do the task. Krita crasches big time. It's feels like a zero-pointer type of crasch.

Hm... Do you have a backtrace and the exact version of Krita for me? If Krita crashes, on Linux, it usually pops up a dialog that you can use to report the problem, that is very useful. If that doesn't work, please tell me exactly what you do to get the crash -- omitting no detail, no matter how minor. (Because I'm a programmer, and we need to be programmed!)
