Maya

Heya!

Here is one work I made last week. I've used mainly Krita but also MyPaint and Gimp for some color and level tweeks.

Btw: I had some minor problems using Krita, like every time when I launch the program and pick a brush for the first time there is always 10-20 second lag before the brush becomes active. Mean while I can continue clicking menus etc so Krita doesn't freeze completely. BUT the biggest issue was not to be able to select move tool nor all other three tools, look for the picture below my work. To be able to use the move tool I had to bind a shortcut for it and only way to select this tool was to press the binded key in my keyboard. I don't know is this a problem or is this the way Krita behaves. For sure it was anoyin. Now when I test this with a blank new documents I can select these tools so I don't know what was the problem. This same problem was when I was doin my Winter New Born work.

Looks cool, I like the textures. The only thing, from my POV, is that the painting needs to enhance the focal point. When I see the painting my eyes move automatically on to the dog, which btw I like a lot because of the paint texture it has.

Now that I look at it you are completely right about the focal point. If you check the amount of lines that ends or leeds in to the dog it is not a suprise actually that the viewers eyes are there. Anyways good point! I will keep this in mind in my next project. Thanks :)

Hm... Which version are you using? I thought I had solved the problem with tools being unclickable if you make the toolbox really wide.

I'm using 2.6.1 Krita. I pretty sure my toolbox was never very wide when I wasn't able to click the tools so I'm not sure what do you meen by that.
