Wow! That's really nice, the lines are so clean! I like how you can practically feel the wind blowing in this picture!

Hey Animtim,
Thanks a lot for pubblishing your image here: I have really appreciated it ! Your bright palette of colours is very nice and "relaxing" . I like, for instance, your blue colour; the one used for the sky Best regards! |

Suddenly I realized that you must know the working flow that I don't which stops me to work with Krita in similar work like you have published here. Normally my way of using Krita is more for chaotic brush strokes and textures. But now I'm working in a studio and I need to do graphic for a character which needs to be extremely smooth and simple. Please see the picture below. This is something I need to achieve but just in a different pose.
Do you see how clean are all the lines and there is always reflection light in the shadow just before the stroke? What I have been doing now is using GIMP. I use it only because I can't find similar path control tool or management in Krita. To build a picture like the baby here, I first draw path with the path tool and use the path points by selecting them and editing them to mark the desired are. Then I save the paths in "Paths Dialog" tab for future use. I use the tab also for making path to selection and vise versa. When it comes to strokes I also use path tool and turn them to strokes. The reflection highlight I do by selecting the area the highlight are and painting with big soft edged brush next to the selection just that the edges of the brush strokes reaches over selection border and leaves a highlight. This is somehow the only work flow I managed to figure for the picture like that. In Krita I can't find out how can I edit the paths and the path points as easily as in GIMP. I just need to have full control of lines and selection area and not only once but many time when I will come back that that specific drawing area. Also I don't know how do I make selection out of paths in Krita. For making very smooth shading I assume you use just a big airbrush. I hope that you can help me. You don't have to write full tutorial if you don't have time just please point me to some correct tools and method to use them. Or if anyone else know an answer for my troubles please share your wisdom! Best regards! |

And immediately after I wrote my post above I discovered that your signature contains a link to the DVD that assuming teaches me exactly the things that I'm asking here! I just wish that there were more seeds of the DVD torrent file.
This happens so commonly. Just after I ask something I discover the answer for my self. |

Nice and clean as always. The feeling of "space" is good. Maybe this illustration is for a new comic?
