Hello there!
I've only often been lurking at KDE forums since Calligra Author was announced. Been using Ubuntu for quite a while (and ditched Windows entirely) for my artistic production works -- mostly using MyPaint, GIMP, Blender, Synfig, etc. -- and only recently dabbled into the latest Krita versions (using the development-build as suggested by David Revoy on IRC). I love it! Thought I'd share my most recent work here, as a thank you for making this amazing toolkit! (Done solely in Krita, with final touch-ups in GIMP, such as color temperature.) DeviantArt -- http://tushantin.deviantart.com/art/Com ... -382352580 You can also check the non-comic illustration here: http://tushantin.deviantart.com/art/Doc ... -382350063 Of course, my very first finished painting wasn't actually this. i did the following as a "test" to see how well Krita worked for me compared to MyPaint + GIMP combo. I decided that Krita was neither better nor worse than MyPaint and GIMP, but instead complemented it (there were features that were quite unique to each respective tool, which were excellent when used in a combined workflow). This was done last year at Walt Whitman's birthday: DeviantArt -- http://tushantin.deviantart.com/art/Wal ... -305602093 I'm no David Revoy, but I have every intention to work hard and be as good as him eventually. Thanks again, KDE, for having me! (P.S.: Even though the artworks are not licensed as "Share Alike", I hereby permit KDE to use my Krita-created art for non-commercial promotional purposes, such as gallery, display, etc.) |

Very good! I like the use of color and the shadings, you give a soft atmosphere to the whole.
