David Revoy's Tutorial: A Result

Mon Sep 30, 2013 6:51 pm
Just recently i stumbled upon a nice tutorial series (consisting of 3 parts) from this forum's very own David Revoy :)
And he requested that results should be shared. I look around and see none so far... so let me give my result.

I did not use the mirror mode like in the tutorial. But the drafting, coloring and lightning was exactly done like explained.

Took me a lot of time to get it right, because... yes, i cannot draw women... whatever i do :P And it still is not right. But i don't want to touch it anymore, even though i already notice something fixable again...

But it was a lot of fun to follow the tutorial, i advise everyone interested to do the same. Have fun.

P.S.: the high res is at http://neverendingo.de/images/woman5_01.jpeg

Cool! I remember how proud I was when I finally did my first painting with Krita, it's a huge milestone :-)

@neverendingo : Hey cool , nice you gave the workflow "bright greys with the 3 pass coloring blending mode" a try. Thanks for the feedback about it.

yes, i cannot draw women...

No, you can. But it takes a lot of attempt before getting a more subtle and nicely/accurately shadded result. If this painting is one of your first attempts, I send you deep congratz ! it's already pretty advanced. Making a good portrait is probably one of the most difficult exercice.
