I always paint with music in the background. This one was painted with Lesiem - Temperantia in the background. With the gradient tool and a color layer it's easy to set the mood in Krita once the values are in place. When adding light effects or highlights create a screen or colordodge layer, select that only current layer should be affected, fill with black and add your highlights with the brush of choice and the color of your light.
