Hello there,
(Sorry for my bad english) My name is Ludo. Three years ago I decided to learn how to draw/paint, and I was already interested in Krita, but since I'm on Windows OS, at that time Krita wasn't really ready for it. Then I stopped drawing, you know : procrastination, lack of focus, life and all the excuses we can find But recently I spent a lot of time drawing/painting again, and of course I choose Krita for it, wich I really love So here the few things I did the last couple of weeks with Krita : First is called "Dawn", my first painting after the long gap, and my real discovery of Krita. I think it lacks some "polish", it's a bit "passkey", even if I like the expression, and I don't like the setting, but well, it was a start : Second is called "Bagua Zhang" wich is a really cool chinese internal martial art I practive and I wanted to express it in a painting. I spent a lot more time than the previous one, to have a "finished" look. I'm quite happy with the result but I feel that again, it lacks personnality, I still have to fond my style wich can only come with practice and exploration... The third is called "benevolence" that I tried to personnify. I don't like it, the background is ugly, colors are maybe too flashy, expression isn't what it was in the drawing, I don't really know what's wrong with it : So I looked at the drawing before the painting to find what's wrong and I definetly prefer the drawing ^^ even if it probably has to be improved to accentuate the flower : I have a long way to go to be able to do something that has any interest but I'm glad Krita exists to help me on the road ^^ Any criticism and advices are gladly welcome Ludo |
