Digital illustration of Diaspora's logo (an asterisk*) as a dandelion mandala. I've always thought Diaspora's branding and mission fit into a great visual/technological/social metaphor. The idea may not come through clearly in the end result, but I hope it at least looks cool. Maybe Diaspora users in tropical climates might appreciate the aesthetic more.

I'd like to support many open source projects. In terms of personal freedom, creativity, expression, collaboration, privacy and data control I can't think of a more important arena than social media for open source to take hold.
