A matte painting exercise.

Sat Jul 23, 2016 7:49 am
Hey guys, here is a matte painting practice I did some weeks back. Krita has some really good photo manipulation tools! I wanted to explore all that krita can do with photos and I loved it thoroughly. There are some things that krita does differently when it comes to layers and groups, and in some cases I found them more intuitive over the photoshop workflow I had. I had no idea what was I going to make with this exercise, just exploring and trying new things out. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Hope you guys like it. :)

Nice!

I keep getting people that ask about a matte-painting workflow, but I myself cannot get into the mindset of matte-painting so I can't answer them.

Can I tempt you to compile a set of tips of something? :p

Hey, thanks. :) And yeah I certainly have that in mind. As of now, I'm refining my work-flow with personal projects, and so far it's going great, It will take around a month at most for me to wrap those up. And I will have tons of resources to share at the end of that, like brushes and resources along with tutorials explaining my concept art and matte-painting work-flows in krita. So, yeah, I'm already tempted. ;D
