Firstly an explanation. I've only just discovered Krita so only the study at the top of the page was created with Krita (the rest were done with GIMP and I'm already regretting the name I chose for my blog)

I've been drawing and painting purely on a hobby basis for as long as I could hold a crayon, but I've never tried my hand at abstract art until a couple of weeks ago. I knock these images out almost on a daily basis, purely as practice, but I'm already finding abstract art far more rewarding than my attempts at 'chocolate box' paintings ever were.
