I would like to show you my latest work. This large landscape was originally painted as 2 separate images - left side first , then the right with the join between the first two rock pinnacles. The idea was sketched first on paper with tech pencils then scanned in and completed using Krita - all hand drawn/painted. Krita is a fabulous program and beats PS CC, Corel etc hands down - i love it! The SPACEPORT Story: The day is clear as the drifter makes his way past JJ's on his way to the Spaceport, his ticket to off planet adventure and eventually a way back to distant earth as a hired gun. This off - world outpost has seen it's better days, with a major conflict destroying much of the infrastructure established 100 years before. Now only the Spaceport remains as a way-station to bigger possibilities and the few junk merchants 'cutting a living' from the ships that are to old to leave. The large image encompasses the scrap merchants cutting and investigating on the big engine at the back, with the main character glancing up at them and the passing ship coming from the spaceport in the rear distance. There are also the details around the second ship with JJ himself oxy - cutting a piece from inside the intake of the second ship, the lookout hut, the solar array made from the old radar dish and the Spaceport looming in the distance. There is a lot of detail which will be hard to see here but you should be able to make out most of it with the help of some of the close detail shots. Enjoy, questions welcome. Ian |

Thank you for the feedback. ...and thanks for being part of developing KRITA! KRITA has been a major force in bringing me back to my art. I am having some difficulties with my program at present and have a post in the help forums - if can offer any help I would appreciate it. Ian. |
