Hey !

My name is Grzegorz Pedrycz I work as freelance concept artist/illustrator since 2012. Finally I had chance to make commercial work in some new app .. and yes i choose krita and i Loveit ! :)
Developers make great job with performance improvement in last release . Right now Brushes work perfect like in PS if you will add a bit of performance bust to the layers actions ( filters layers , layers grouping, lag after aproving selection in layers ect ) Krita will kil all competition.

So here is my latest work. Hope you will like it !

Your illustration looks awesome, really good job ;)
Can you share for which project this is ?

You mentionned performance, so I was wondering. What canvas size are you working on ?
Since this is commercial work I guess this is fairly high-res. Did you have any lag when working with a lot of layers ?

Hey

Artwork is done for RPG book :) About performance ... I dont use giant files i think, mostly around 5000x5000 , 300 dpi. The perofmance appers when you have more than 15 layers and want to make some actions on it for example group few layers , we have slightly lag with that operation or bigger one when we use filter mask on the layer and want to paint on it , or even make some level adjustments when every change in filter manu appeared on image with lag etc Hope Krita developers work it as its last issue with performance with that beautiful piece of code :)

Oh, nice project ;)
Agreed, Krita is really an awesome software ;D . And there was quite a huge performance gain with the latest versions
For me, the layer problem arise when I want to work on printable artwork. Like A3 and 600dpi. It's about the same size as you, ~7000x9000 px
So I guess this is the same issue. That being said, it's already working quite good even at this size :)
Thanks for the response, looking forward to your next artworks ^-^
