Hi all,
I'm one of the artists working on Blender's Project Durian - durian.blender.org Keen to look into Krita more and this was my first image to get a feel for Krita trunk and where things are at. Was working on a much higher res version of the image but it's getting late and should sleep. Fun image though so I may continue adding detail to the high res version another time. Anyway, looking forward to creating and posting more in the future. Cheers, Ben. (This image is the same as all Durian related works - http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/ ) |

Wow, that looks amazing.
It would be great if you could give us some feedback about your findings and things that need to be improved. |

Hey Ben,
Great to see one of my Durian hero's posting here! Thanks for posting this, it looks great. It looks like something I could imagine seeing in Sintel's 1'st minute opening battle. Anyway, keep up the great work and let us know how we can help. As an aside note, a couple of hidden gems I'd recommend checking out if you're more used to Gimp / PS: 1. Filter layers (add any filter non destructively and tweakable to your image) 2. The various painttops and their configuration settings. Some brushes like distort and spray can do far more with setting changes than is immediately obvious on the surface. 3. The quickselect popup which lets you select colours and tools and have them immediately available at the (middle) click of a button. 4. The shape selection tools (select tool -> Tool options -> Shape select). Think, being able to use editable vectors to edit and update selections live. A bit slow atm, but rather cool. Anyway, thanks for sharing a great first Durian / Sintel / Krita image. Here's to many more! |

Hey Ben,
Thanks for releasing this under CC. Any chance of sharing the .kra file so we can upload it to Krita.org's Showcase? |

I'd rather polish up the large version first, other than that I wouldn't mind
