Here is my first attempt of a finished piece in Krita from scratch. I spent some hours on it, and had a great fun with the hairy brush. A digital speedpainting representing an angel, as a bit surprised or affraid by us looking at her. Licence : CC 3.0 By-Sa-Nc The *.kra source to see my layers. The bottom layer is the original black and white work with the hairy brush : angel.kra A screenshot to see the brush I setup for this drawing, and how I managed the UI : |

I love the very soft, hazy feel with subtle colour combinations and impressionistic lines. Gives it a very textured, dreamy feel.
Definitely one for the showcase! |

Magical! I especially like how you drew her head, very nice face expression and hair.

Just so you know, I'm working on getting this into the Krita.org showcase. It's just being delayed by some technical hitches (boud, if you could resend me the site ftp details so I can upgrade the gallery component. They seem to have changed or be entered incorrectly in the site).
Thanks for helping to show what Krita is capable of in the hands of a real artist! |
