Forgive me for not being an artist This is a first attempt with Krita since a long time, and boy am i impressed?! Krita + netbook isn't the best combination, it barely fits the small screen, and do not use too big brus sizes on a netbook. But it is great fun to explore those brush engines, and krita surely provides for a nice workflow with the easy brush sizing and rightclick palette. I'm very much looking forward to future releases! Edit: Having worked a bit more on that, and using it as a background on that netbook - maybe i should enter the competition... Take a look: http://www.alweb.dk/node/5 (sorry for the danish text) |

Everyone is an artist in my opinion!
There's an old African saying "If you can walk you can dance, if you can talk you can sing." I'd say that extends to "If you can write the alphabet you can draw" but I digress. Your picture has a very calming, pleasing layout and choice of where to put detail (like the ocean) and where to leave negative space (like the sky). It reminds me of the scene from "Where the Wild Things Are" (movie, not book) where he sails home at the end. Nice job, and thanks for being true to your word by posting it here! |
