Hi everybody,
just discovered krita 2.3 a few days ago. Today I had time for a little test session!!! Guys, this program roooocks!!! I really love it!! I've played a little bit with the sketchbrush, this is totally awsome. Performance of krita is very good too. Especially with opengl enabled. Great work developers! So, here is my first little sketch. Just a few minutes sketching. More stuff will definitely follow!!! I am very eager to see the stable version!!! *thumbsup* If you want, you can use this image to promote krita Here's the file Here's the large image |

Wow what a cool sketch; I would love to see more works like this.
Oh, please don't make me more jealous than I already am.

Wow. Great sense of proportion, character and use of tone. Is this all done with the sketch brush or were you using other brushes, too?
If this is the result of a few minutes, then I'd love to see what you're really capable of with more time! Time for another image in Krita.org's showcase methinks... |

**Edit**
Yes, this is only the sketchbrush, with different oppacity settings. **Edit** At the moment I am trying to get used to the brushes. A lot of playing and testing brushes and other tools! In my opinion Krita is the best painting application for linux so far!! But as already said. More will follow. Maybe I will do a screenrecording at some time?! |

Wonderful sketch -- and great to see work in a completely different style from what we've seen until now.

So.. here's the first "painting". At first I was testing some settings for the pixelbrush. At the end I ended up making this one! large |

You're showcased, baby!
I didn't really have a title or license for it, so I've called it "Sketchbrush Man" with a CC BY-SA (which seems the most common license). Let me know here if you'd like either changed. Thanks for a great piece of art! PS I looked at your blog, and as an official (well...) Blendhead into the GE, I love your gamework! Krita actually has a goal of being awesome for 3 use cases... one being the painting of textures for 3d. Would love to hear your feedback! |

Nice to see another Sketchbrush user!
I like very much your landscape speedpaint (actually I use it as wallpaper now, thank you). |

@kubuntiac
wow.. what an honor! thanks! Yeah.. I would really love to give feedback for krita! Also feature requests? I know some features, that are very usefull from other painting apps. Of course I know a feature is not coded in some hours and you will have your own roadmap. @Animtim hey.. cool.. your are the first one I heard of, who uses one of my paintings as an wallpaper! This is cool For everyone.. Here is the Krita File from the landscape. You can use this image under a cc license. landscape.kra |

There are feature requests and feature requests. Some things will take a long time before they get priority, like printing support. Other things we really want to focus on: things that make Krita suitable for artists to create work with. David Revoy needs a mix brush and still better performance. I am fairly sure we're going to focus on that again for 2.4. Windows support might be a focus area. But everything you tell us about how krita doesn't meet your needs as an artist is going to be extremely valuable, so please bring it on!

@boudewijn
thanks for your comment. When I have gained more experience with Krita and get used to it with my workflow I will post some thoughts on it. --- So.. as promised, here is my first recorded painting. It is a 45 Minute Speedpainting. I haven't uploaded it yet. But I will do this soon. Take a look at it. Just some random mysterious guy Krita File CC Licenced |
