Hello everyone, I just finished a presentable version of the lineart for something I plan to fully color. It still has a few rough edges, like the wing, lack of detail on the body, and no teeth, but it is almost finished.
It was done by using Krita from start to end, EXCEPT for the starting super-rough sketch, which was done using MyPaint. Certainly the infinite canvas of MyPaint is the most awesome sketching feature I've ever seen in any painting application; but once the sketch is done, MyPaint (and even The Gimp) lack certain features which I thoroughly enjoyed in Krita. Let me be a little enthusiastic:
Overall, since the freeze, Krita has improved dramatically for me. In fact dramatically is an understatement. See, it's hard to agree on what makes a good program, but we can all agree on what makes for a BAD program:
Did I yell enough to make my point? So to show off here I share a lineart done almost completely in Krita, the only thing done outside, as I said, was a very broad sketch, done with MyPaint. What can I say?, even the bug of not being able to produce something presentable vanished for me. Thank you everyone!, this is wonderful! The original image is larger and done in 16-bit Linear RGB (SO GOOD!, another thing that The GIMP doesn't have). In case you forgot this character: You can find it here And here The concept refines a little more with every iteration. Original Kra file |

Transform tool is an AWESOME tool. I used in my stuff to fix Traven's perceptive and rotation.
I use X to switch foreground and background color while painting.
