Thank you all for your nice comments.

valerievk: The brush I used for the background texture is a pixel brush with a predefined brush called "A - 19 Eroded round 2 (64x64)".

By the way I've noticed a bug with predefined brushes at big scales (from around x10 ) has bad artefacts. I need to report this in the bug tracker, if it hasn't already.

Thanks for that! I meant the lines on the troll though, it looks so much like pencil shading. How did you do that? :D

The pencil-like shading is done with... the sketch brush ;)

I was starting to suspect that. :P But I don't seem to get that sort of result with the sketch brush. Did you tweak the settings or use a tablet?

Of course I use a tablet.. essential to control pressure.
Also I've used default preset, reducing opacity in tool options.

Darnit, I don't have a tablet yet. xD Or rather, I do have an old one, but it's barely working anymore. Well, if I ever do get a new tablet, at least I know there's a lot to look forward to. :D Thanks for the pointers!
