RamonMiranda midnight Sketches

Wed Apr 13, 2011 12:57 am
Image

Here is my first sketch done testing various brush engines at the same time."pixelbrush, gbr brushes, smudge brush .. it is not an exploration picture i am very very lost yet on krita but i see it has a HUGE brush world to be explored.

first impressions
-i have the feeling that i miss my usual tools(presets of gimp),Krita comes without presets for each brush engine? but i think this is a natural feeling since everytime you change the software , you need some days to feel comfortable.also it would be easy to do some classic presets. i will investigate more this field about krita

- the posibility of have the brush settings always visible, this will make fast the exploration,my wrist would thank you. ;D

- i can´t change color on the preview zone for paint in the brush editor.neither use the "X" command.this sounds bad for me. :'(

-But the tilt performance is good on my Intuos4 S. ;D
tomorrow i will test more in depth depending the sparetime available.

The picture talks by itself, a sad moment, what do you think in your last second of life? (probably made for watch "invasion a la tierra" recently)

I love the sheer look of terror on the pilots face.

* we definitely want to ship presets for every brush engine with 2.4. But we count on our users to provide us with those!

* you can detach the brush settings dialog: right-click, choose detach, and now it'll be floating. That was especially meant for people with two monitors, who want the image on one monitor and all controls on the other.

* I'm not sure about the color in the preview sketchpad. I thought that follow the current active color.

Very nice experiment painting!
I love the rough painting texture effect it has.. and the color choices works very well.

About some default presets I've started to work on this, but it's far from finished. Currently I've some presets for sketch brush (sketching and inking mostly), for pixel brush (again mostly sketch and inking, but more "classics"..) and a few for painting and smudge with color-smudge brush (but I need to refine those, as color smudge brush is very new).
I'm sure you'll bring some great default painting presets, your help is welcome on this task!

That drawing is excellent!

Ramón, dices tu primer dibujo (boceto) en Krita y a la medianoche...No seas malo y ten un poco de piedad con los que no hemos sido dotados de talento... ;D

Saludos.

Excellent work Ramon. Some time ago I did a preset pack for Krita. Is smaller than GPS but you can use it for testing.

In Spanish:
Excelente trabajo Ramón. Hace algún tiempo hice un pack de preset para Krita . Es mas pequeño que GPS pero te puede servir para pruebas.

Hi Ramon,

We would like to feature this painting on Krita.org. The rules for inclusion are just that we would need a .kra file (so people can see the layers etc) and permission to share it under one of the creative commons licenses (eg CC-BY-SA). Naturally you're credited in the same style as the current showcase artists over at http://krita.org/showcase

Just let me know if you're interested.

Another Quickie, this time "sketch Brush."

Image

I don´t know why when i use this brush i tend to do monsters, aliens, or demons. I don´t like these kind of things so dark,. but maybe it is something on my mind. stress? pain? i like more flowers ,landscapes, animals. but there is something dark inside me. I have to meditate in it.

Sketch brush is fun, and lot of powerful but for the moment i only use it to sketch. XD

Wow! Those sketches are gorgeous! There's something about seeing all of them together that looks even better than any of them separately.
