Hi,in this picture i am exploring with Animtim Presets. Thay are very very interesting. i can´t make a review by now , but the performance of brushes is nice. I have centered my attention into X- structure 2 is good for blending with a bit of texture with low pressure Big pressure produces a nice brushtroke, but for me i use only the blending feature. useful for blending for example the mermaid skin tones. X- sketch This preset uses Declination, and that is good, it makes a some kind of "glazing" effect with big Declination.but is complex to paint this way so i use it carefully, The mermaids hair is made this way. X- Sketch 2. This my basic preset for now, all the background is painted this way.rocks and water. I had good inspiration, that means i paint comfortably. Maybe i will finish this piece with more details. what do you think? |

Cool WIP!
Actually the "X-" presets you are talking about are made by Plassy . I just checked the pack he gave you, my presets in it are the "Z-" ones.. but they are very experimental . I'm gonna test those presets, they look good. |

Well, yes those are my presets.
If you like the "X- Sketch 2" preset then try out this one: http://www.speedyshare.com/files/28017546/X_-_Paint.kpp It's like "X - Sketch 2" but more wet... it gives kind of an traditional paint look. And another one: http://www.speedyshare.com/files/28017547/X_-_Wet.kpp This one i made for detail work (but it needs some refinement) if you hold your pen 90° to the tablet it gives you (more or less) sharp lines. If you lean the pen more it gets more wet to make smooth shadings. Try them out... You too Animtim thx |

Nice stuff!
She reminds me somewhat of Neytiri from Avatar with the blue skin, pointed ears, stripes etc. Nice composition, too. I do have to wonder why she's looking at the cute little clown fish like that with a dagger in her hand... o.O Can't wait until the "Upload" button in the Preset window becomes functional so we can just click to share presets via opendesktop.org The really weird thing is that once upon a time there *were* some presets up there, but they seem to have dissappeared?! |

Well, it was a test only for practice with Krita so the idea is not first sketched and tested,etc..
sharing presets is a good idea, one of the most important things in a painting software is his expandability possibilities. |

Nice work. I'd love to see this piece progress if you decide to work on it more.
