Hello everybody, here i go again,. In this case i want to show you a final piece. but in a not so usual style for me. Cartoonish. I made this for fun and as a challenge for me.To make this i have used lot of brushes in the early steps, to give the background a "oilish" feel. Then i have used the usual brushes for me, circular brush a bit textured. and normal blender.
Ctrl+i shortcut .very useful to flip the image. You can download the brushes here. http://mypaintatelier.googlecode.com/files/LGM%20krita%20sprint.zip I have a High res.but this is better for the forum.and sadly it is only onle layer, i dont use too much layers often.i came from the classic schools. |

Good hair , I didn't knew this aspect from your work ( this stylisation on volume and the play with the 'specular' size and shape on the shading ). It's looking good.
As a little proposal of enhancing for the next ones ; a final touch on the shadows with a low opacity airbrush with a 'bloody pinky red' on overlay blending mode could simulate the blood under skin instead of having black mixing the skin. ( mainly on the casted shadow of the nose. ) |

Hi deevad, This type of shading comes from "The Scene". where iwas Gfx artist, and we only have 256 colors to work with so we used to create this type of spots to blend tones.
And thanks for the tip, i tried to make Subdermal lighting, but the face was too much orageish so i deleted the parts that i did not like it.anyway i use overlay and the chick, (a bit of pink) and for the nose point, also. and you are right Overlay is great to simulate SubSurfaceScattering effect. thanks for comment |

Hey Ramon,
I'd love to feature this in the Krita.org showcase. If that's ok with you we'd just need the .kra (it doesn't matter if there's only one layer ) and the creative commons license you would like to use. Kubuntiac |

Hi Kubuntiac
I am talking from a Cybercafe, here near the beach on the coast, (holydays are great). I am very happy to see that you like my image and find interesting for other users. I have the .kra well stored on my harddrive. but in my house you would have to wait till july. but i will make it public as soon as possible. Thanks again for the choice. |

No hay problema! No esperaba una respuesta hasta que regresó a su casa. Disfrute de sus vacaciones!
No problem! I wasn't expecting any reply until you got home. Enjoy your holiday! PS Do you mind if I put the brushes from this post up on OpenDesktop.org, so other Krita users can easily install them? |
