Hóla Joetachi and welcome!

A nice first test! We're always curious to hear how your first experience of painting with Krita went for you. What was your first impression? What did or didn't make sense in the UI? It's always interesting to hear the opinions as a new user, as it's something we all only get one shot at being, and it can be difficult remembering exactly what does / doesn't make sense when you already know the interface inside out!

Regarding your painting, it has a nice composition and could probably use the atmospheric shading being more white and less blue. The texturing on the two main rocks is nice, too.

I like it, it gives off a very calm feeling. :)

Did you draw this on Windows?

Kubuntiac: My first impressions from the UI was that it seemed sleek and easy to under stand. I already told a few artist friends to try this program.

Pros:
Great brush feel.
Deep brush customisation.
familiar tools.
Cons:/ small gripes:
you cant turn the stylus to erase
resizing the brush with ",." can be a bit confusing others painting applications tend to use "[]" these keys.
And that its a bit too easy to erase the default brushes.

Hans: Yeah i made this on Windows 7

Hey,

for this, go to settings > setting shortcut ; in the quick search field enter 'brush' then it will filter to find easily the brush size + and - of the brush to customize.

You can also change the brush size in real time, which is a time saver. i love it!.
press "Shift" and then drag your stylus, you will see how the size increases or decreases depending on direction you drag.

I agree with you , that presets can be deleted accidentally very easily.

About the painting, is a very calm mood, the colors are very "pastel" .nice to see a new Krita user. is good to see new styles. Welcome!

You can turn the brush to erase with the erase mode button in the toolbar or with shortcut E.

Well, it would still be good if the eraser end would erase by default; it's always irritating me that I have to flip, press e and then it's good :-).

I just tried using the eraser end of the stylus yesterday, and was surprised it didn't erase...

I think it's a regression -- I'm not sure from when, it dates from before my work on switching tools.
