Hey! Welcome to the first Monthly Drawing Challenge of the year!
The winner of last month was leonine, who chose this month's topic.
The exact results can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=277&t=129626

This month's topic is

Horizon(s)

Don't forget to use the hashtag #kritachallenge to talk about this challenge!

--==How the challenge works==--

The topic changes every month. Every image should be somehow related to the current topic.
It would be nice, if you could also add an explanation, how it is related to the topic, if you think that it is not clear from the image alone.

You can submit your image until the 24th of january, 12:00 pm (noon) UTC, by posting an image as answer in this thread.
For posting images, the same rules as in the Gallery section apply.

Collaborative works are allowed.

After the drawing phase, a poll will be created and forum users can vote for the winner.
The poll will run for 7 days, the winner will be the one with the most votes until the end of the poll.

The winner will have the privilege to choose the topic for the february challenge!

Naaa, this is just a joke...

This is my creation: "Searching for new horizons", it is inspired by the french song "erevan"

@Folkvira, @doucette:
When you want to embed an image but it is too large (wider than 720px), you can use the "thumb" BB code like that:
Code: Select all
[thumb=720]http://example.com/example.png[/thumb]

Made this just now, in a Risk of Rain-esque style to try some of Hushcoil's blocky brushes.

@Kaerhon: Leonine's work is out-of-competition as it was requested in the post: "To start the year nicely, here's a quick out-of-competition speed!".
That's why it isn't in the poll.

Thank you. I liked Paragon's quite a lot because I've painted in a similar style before.

I quite like your speed paint too. ;D

All the pieces posted are nice in some way, unfortunately you only get one vote. :'(
