Hey! Welcome to the Monthly Drawing Challenge of August 2019.
The last kritachallenge had two winners: Nour_AK and scheitzgerhard. You can find the exact results of the previous challenge at viewtopic.php?f=277&t=160502 Both winners selected a topic and Nour_AK's topic was chosen out of the two with a fair random.org dice roll. The topic for this month is: childhood As always, you can use the hashtag #kritachallenge on social media to talk about this challenge! --==How the challenge works==-- The topic changes every month. Every image should be somehow related to the current topic. It would be nice, if you could also add an explanation, how it is related to the topic, if you think that it is not clear from the image alone. You can submit your image until the 25th of August, 12:00 pm (noon) UTC, by posting an image as answer in this thread. If less than two images are posted until then, the deadline is extended until there are at least two submissions. Collaborative works are allowed. After the drawing phase, a poll will be set up and forum users can vote for the winner. The poll will run for 7 days, the winner will be the one with the most votes until the end of the poll. The winner will have the privilege to choose the topic for the September challenge! When there are multiple winners, all of them will enter an own topic, and I'll use a random generator to select one single of those topics.

One of my lovers plays Jack & Daxter II and it's a game from his childhood, so I kinda imagine his childhood as exploding stuff with a big Daxter smile on his face.

Here's my entry:
I tried to capture both the freedom of childhood but also the boredom. We tend to look back on the days of our youth in the context of how we weren't burdened by all the responsibilities of adulthood, but in the grand scope of things, the complexities of our adult worlds are as responsible for our potential as much as they are our stresses. |

Hey!
The drawing phase is now officially over (with some delay, oops) and a poll will be set up. It will run for seven days, as always. Thanks to all participants and everybody who spread the word!

A big thanks to jmf for organizing, and big hat tip to the other contestants...it takes a lot to put your work up to be judged by others.
For the next subject of the competition, I want another something interesting but open enough that we get plenty of variety. So let's see... I think a good choice would be: inversion It's up to you whether that means upside down, inside out, opposites, or whatever your mind cooks up! I definitely look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with. Thanks again! |
