Hi,
I just tried kdenlive for the first time on OSX. I really love it and I'd rather spend my money/time to support this project than buying a Final Cut Pro However there are some showstopper bugs which make the usage of the application impossible. Few questions: - Where one should report OSX issues - the link on this page points to forum thread from 2009 - not sure if anymore valid https://kdenlive.org/download-mac - Any instructions how to build the bleeding edge on OSX (Macports?) Some issues I came across in five minutes testing - Drag and drop of video clip stopped working - Brightness color correction filter does not work correctly - Most of color correction filters do not work (in fact 3 point balance was the only one I got working) .. or is this worth of trying to get these fixed in the first place? I know OSX is not the focus of most KDE development. Cheers, Mikko |

You could try reporting issues here http://mac-os-forge.2317878.n4.nabble.c ... ts-f3.html
But support for OS/X is pretty slim on the ground. As some of the doco states - Building on the "Mac is not for the faint of heart". You could consider running a Linux Virtual machine and kdenlive inside that. I think some people have reported some success with this. |
