Hi there,
I'm very new to developing in KDE, but I have been asked to implement a "solo" function for tracks, so that the track selected will be the only one which is heard (the opposite of a mute button). For this, I wanted to access the mute button in the source code, to see how and where it is implemented, but I am having no luck while looking through the source code. If anyone could help me out or give me some pointers about where to start looking, it would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance, Greg Ramirez Garcia |

Here's your hint: search the code base for 'Mute track'.

This may be a stupid question, but by "code base", do you mean the "src" file?

Yes...search through all of the source code files, including those in subdirectories, under 'src'.
But..the point is that you can use the Kdenlive 'hint' that shows up when you hover w/ the mouse as a way to find code that is attached to a button, menu or whatnot. Somewhere, somebody coded 'Mute track' into the source code. Find that and you'll be able to find the rest of the code attached to that button. |
