It would be just perfect, amazing thing:
each new kdenlive release (15.04, 15.08, 15.12) the developing team releases a simple distro, a live/install iso image file to genereta a live/install DVD. no need to be a complete distro, just the operating system and kdenlive and also the synaptic package manager for people install other software automatically.) this can make kdenlive more popular and spread the number of users, like me, people who does not know how to install linux software and needs to wait a new distro to try new software... Edit post: I will give a try on Kunbutu, maybe it is what I am looking for... (also ubuntu studio and netrunner) |

Hi Adving, Installing linux software can sometimes appear daunting - I understand. But it is not too hard these days - if you find a distribution that has the software you want in its repositories. Kubuntu might be such a distro. I believe it comes with kdenlive already installed. But if you do need to install stuff you can steer clear of the package manager and go with the "software center". On Kubuntu it is called "muon software center" and on ubuntu it is called "ubuntu software center". Just search for what you want and click install. No one should have to say "I don't know how to install Linux software" |

after I found ubuntu studio and learned how to use the synaptic pakcage manager, the ubuntu software center and the launchpad ppa I perceived that there is no need to build a specific distro for kdenlive...
