Commit 62165ce96910bd8d99ab5de3e3eeadd89b311b27 introduced new tools for working with keyframeable brightness, volume, and gamma. At least in the volume effect, any attempt to interact with the volume level line drawn in the timeline will trigger a segfault. Setting keyframes and volume levels from the properties window usually works but also occasionally segfaults.
Running on Debian Unstable current as of Feb 5, with OpenGL/Movit enabled over Radeon drivers from the Ubuntu Mesa PPA. I don't have QT debugging files installed so cannot do a backtrace. Kdenlive built on the same system it's being tested on. |

Hi, thanks for your report. This is a known issue, caused by a bug in MLT.
The bug was fixed last week in MLT's git, so you neet to update your MLT version, see bug report: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=359129 Regards |

Thanks! I just downloaded and rebuild MLT from git master, no more of this issue in a quick test with one file. Will try it tonight on a longer news video. |

I ran into a new issue with this, no more keyframe issues but rendering would either crash or be diverted to the screen depending on build options passed to MLT. One set of options (just /usr, and enabling GPL and GLP3 worked) with the old October 1, 2015 code but crashed rendering on my Feb 12, 2016 version. That being so, I found the commit concernng the keyframes only and hand-edited it into src/framework/mlt_animation.c and rebuild from the same directory that had just worked with no other changes. Worked again, so I finally have a "hybrid" MLT build that lets me use current kdenlive. Got this log from the crashes with the new code: Rendering of /home/luke/Desktop/untitled.mp4 crashed [libx264 @ 0x7f256800c260] [Eval @ 0x7f2575e61140] Undefined constant or missing '(' in 'dct8x8' [libx264 @ 0x7f256800c260] Unable to parse option value "dct8x8" [libfaac @ 0x7f256800ffc0] [Eval @ 0x7f2575e610f0] Undefined constant or missing '(' in 'dct8x8' [libfaac @ 0x7f256800ffc0] Unable to parse option value "dct8x8" [libfaac @ 0x7f256800ffc0] Channel layout not specified Will post a new report on this |
