First, fantastic work, guys and girls!

May I suggest:

When multiple clips are grouped, I would like to be able to select which one will be exclusively used to compute AudioCorrelation.
Ui wise, the prioritized clip within the group could be the one over which the user right-clicks to access the "Align Audio to Reference" fonction. [EDIT: if this state is not easily found, an ad hoc solution would be to use the Muted status of the audio tracks in the Group to exclude them for AudioCorrelation processing]

Use case: If I record multiple tracks on the same recorder and use a scratch track for audio alignment with wavefom correlation, I want all my other tracks to be aligned using the scratch audio.

I'm super exited you've added waveform analysis for syncing! I don't know if it has been there for a long time: I admit right now I'm not doing any NLE editing, but I'm designing a small device à la TentacleSync but waayy cheaper, see https://atomicsynchronator.blogspot.com (the name is a joke... maybe FOSSsync?)
