Hi all, my first post here.

And if this is not a place for such a question, please redirect me, thanks.

I am working on Ubuntu 21.04 and till recently have got compilable and working instance of Kdenlive which was half year old. Then I rebased my branch with master and strange errors started to raise. I realized that something - like MLT version - changed in meantime, so I removed that all (MLT, Qt) from my system as simple updating didn't work; even started with fresh branch to be sure, and still have problems.

When I call
Code: Select all
cmake .
I got
Code: Select all
s IconThemes Declarative Solid DocTools FileMetaData Crash Purpose
-- Checking for module 'mlt++-7'
--   Found mlt++-7, version 7.1.0
CMake Error at /usr/share/cmake-3.18/Modules/FindPackageHandleStandardArgs.cmake:165 (message):
  Could NOT find MLT (missing: MLT_INCLUDE_DIR) (found suitable version
  "7.1.0", minimum required is "7.0.0")
Call Stack (most recent call first):
  /usr/share/cmake-3.18/Modules/FindPackageHandleStandardArgs.cmake:458 (_FPHSA_FAILURE_MESSAGE)
  cmake/modules/FindMLT.cmake:65 (find_package_handle_standard_args)
  CMakeLists.txt:61 (find_package)

in stacktrace.

And I'm seriously confused, especially with that
Code: Select all
 Could NOT find MLT ... found suitable version "7.1.0", minimum required is "7.0.0"

How to solve that? I'm not very fluent with these all packages and dependencies for C++ on Linux, so I don't know even where to start at this moment.

Thanks in advance!

Try to remove the CMakeCache file (or at least all its lines containing MLT), and run cmake again?

@vpinion thanks for that clue. It was about MLT 7 manually installed - for some reason not everything was properly recognized by kdenlive, probably because there still was system one.

Eventually I managed to run that, but then again I have issues with pushing my changes, but hopefully you saw that already (here) ;)
