I have a suggestion. It would be a great workflow improvement for the clip monitor to show a clip when it is clicked on the timeline. On click kdenlive should also raise the clip monitor. This would make it much easier to apply effects to the clip in the timeline.

right now the effect stack is what is automatically focused... just the place where to drop effects...
if i can suggest.. drop the "EFFECT STACK" on the same window where you have CLIP-MONITOR also... (usually the 2nd one from left to right)
