Having found myself at the crossroads of needing a new tablet and not wanting Wacom's offerings because of my year-and-a-half old, bricked Intuos5, I figure it would be handy to know which types of digitizers it's worth my time to look at. I know Wacom tablets work, as do UC-Logic ones. I'm mostly curious if a Win8 tablet with a N-Trig digitizer would work with Krita but knowing the compatibility of Synaptics, Waltop (low quality though they're reported to be), or any others would also be helpful, if at all available.
Thank you for any information on this subject. |

As far as I know, only wacom and uclogic-based digitizers are current. n-trig and waltop seem to be obsolete, and I'd be surprised if there were new tablets made with those. If you want a good, affordable tablet that works fine with Krita on Windows, I recommend huion. The one I have is a pleasure to use -- and I'm not saying that because Huion sent me one for free, it really _is_ very nice.

Ok, I was asking because it seemed like N-Trig had stepped up its game recently. Annoyingly, I haven't gotten a Huion because I'm having difficulty getting my hands on one, international borders being the main obstacle.
